After our trips to Cape d’Aguilar (read more) and Cape Collinson (read more), here is the third video I made with my friend Christoph. Again, we were out with a couple of gadgets, and we brought home even more footage than ever before.
This time, we visited Lamma Island. If you search for Lamma on Google, you will learn that the Island has a free-spirited, multicultural vibe and is home to hipsters and creative types. We enjoyed it – and found a remote beach, where we flew with our drones.
How to go there / Starting Point
Lamma Island is reachable easily by ferry from Central Pier 4 on Hong Kong Island – and also from Aberdeen on the south side of Hong Kong Island. There are separate services to both of the main villages on Lamma – Yung Shue Wan and Sok Kwu Wan. The journey time is around 30 minutes to Yung Shue Wan and around 40 minutes to Sok Kwu Wan.
We took the Ferry to Yung Shue Wan and started our hike there. There are almost endless much places to visit on the island. We visited a remote beach, the Yung Shue Wan Viewing Point and also Lamma Wind – the wind power station.
