On the last weekend the weather was not perfect at all. Nuri was the first Tropical Storm on its way to Hong Kong. We took the risk anyway and went to the beach on Saturday morning. We visited the beach nearby and spent a couple of hours at Deepwater Bay Beach in Hong Kong. Even it was raining for the first half-hour, these pictures prove that we enjoyed our Saturday.
Deepwater Bay is located on the south side of Hong Kong Island. The beach is less known to tourists than Repulse Bay. Still, Deep Water Bay is very popular among local citizen. I prefer to visit the BBQ pits at Deepwater. Unfortunately, the water itself is most time quite dirty – even for Hong Kong.
After building a sandcastle, it was time to walk to the next MTR station – located at the Hong Kong Ocean Park. You may also take the Citi bus lines (6X, 260, 973, 73) or the minibus (40, 40X, 52, N40) from and to the Deep Water Bay Beach.
