Koh Phi Phi: A Step-by-Step Guide for booking your ferry from Phuket

Following my recent escapade to Koh Phi Phi, many of you asked the same question – “How do I book a ferry ticket from Phuket to Koh Phi Phi?”. I remember facing the same dilemma and turning to the Twitter community for answers.

The overwhelming response pointed me towards the platform 12go.asia. I decided to give it a try. Travelling from Rassada Pier, I pre-booked my ticket to ensure a hassle-free journey.

My experience with 12go.asia was seamless. The booking process was straightforward, and payments could be made conveniently via Apple Pay or Credit Card. Upon confirmation, I received a voucher via email.

Before you set sail on your journey to Koh Phi Phi, there are two crucial factors to consider:

  • Allow for Ample Time: Ensure you have plenty of time for check-in procedures and potential flight delays. Nothing dampens the holiday spirit like a missed ferry due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Ferry or Speedboat?: Be aware of the type of vessel you are booking. While ferries offer a leisurely ride, they are relatively slow. On the other hand, speedboats provide a quicker journey but come with a heftier price tag.

I used the same service for my return journey from Phi Phi to Krabi. While numerous alternatives are available in Phi Phi, I strongly recommend pre-booking and confirming your ticket a day before travel – even during the off-peak season. Leaving Phi Phi can be a hack. Especially when you are leaving towards Railay Beach or Ao Nang
