Happy Songkran! สวัสดีปีใหม่ไทย!
Songkran, Thailand’s famous water festival, usually takes place from April 13 to April 15. I had a great time celebrating it in Pattaya two years ago, and I made a VLOG to share that experience with you.
This year, I’m planning something special! I’ll be heading back to Pattaya, but this time for their unique extended celebration, Wan Lai, on April 18 and 19. That’s the time the whole city turns into one big water party! That’s at least what I heard.
April 18 is Wan Lai Naklua and Wan Lai Bang Phra, when the local communities come together for traditional ceremonies in the morning and epic water battles in the afternoon.
The biggest party happens on April 19: It’s Wan Lai Pattaya! The Pattaya Beach Road becomes an amazing festival zone with music, DJs, and thousands of people having fun, splashing water, and dancing until sunset.
